This cemetery is located just off of McVille Road in Hendricksville Road in Greene County, Indiana. It is a current cemetery with just over 500 interments, including some of my ex-husband's family. I haven't found a date for when this cemetery was established, though the earliest burial, according to the Cemeteries of Greene County, Indiana list, was 1888. I have found that the unincorporated community of Hendricksville was established in 1831. The first post office was founded in 1888 but was discontinued in 1921, though I have found conflicting information stating that the post office was established in 1831. There are many burials in this cemetery with the names of Hendricks and Hendrix. These may have been some of the descendants of the pioneer founders of the town.

Their marriage was recorded on a hand written marriage bond. He is listed as having died in Monroe County, Indiana, though I have not yet been able to locate burial locations for either of them.

I have found a listing for another Charles Burnham Abram. He was a private in the Civil War, Co G. 148th Indiana Infantry. He was born in Greene County, Indiana on January 12, 1832 and died on March 15, 1865 in Indianapolis. His place of residence was listed as Franklin County, Indiana and he mustered into service on February 5, 1865. He was married to Lucinda Hudson Abram (1833-1919) in 1852. You can probably see where this is getting rather muddy. I have found at least three of the children attributed to the above Charles also listed as children of this Charles - Mahala, Oliver and Almira. Lucinda Hudson Abram is listed as being buried in Hudson Cemetery, Greene County, Indiana along with their daughter Lydia.

He served in the Civil War in the 148th Indiana Infantry, Company G. He was listed as living in Franklin County, Indiana and mustered into service on February 3, 1865. He is listed as having mustered out of service on September 5, 1865. It is interesting to note that his brother Charles B. Abram was in the same company as he was and was killed in Indianapolis only a month and a half after they mustered in.

Huldah was married twice, her first husband being Francis Marion Sims (1841-1864). They were married in 1859. He served in the Civil War in the 82nd Indiana Volunteer Regiment. She was the daughter of David Hendricks/Hendrix (1816-1888) and Juriah Taylor Hendricks/Hendrix (1824-1869). He was born in Nicholas County, Kenrucky and is buried nearby in Liberty #2 Cemetery, which was located in the woods near Liberty Cemetery. She is buried in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
