Lower Indiana Presbyterian Church Cemetery

Today's Walk Through the Tombstones is at the Lower Indiana Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Knox County, Indiana.

GPS Coordinates: 38.6418, -87.4456

These photos for today's entry were taken by my friend Terri Talarek King and are used with her permission.  She lives closer to the area and was able to stop and take some photos for me.  Thank you so much for your time!

Our first stop is at the grave of Lilly Pearl Dellinger.
Born: September 2, 1882
Died: October 16, 1888

She was the young daughter of Jonas Dellinger (1820-1906) and Susan Barekman Dellinger (1846-1921).  Her father is buried nearby in Lower Indiana Presbyterian Cemetery, next to his first wife, Sarah E. Dellinger (1840-1875).  Her mother buried in Fairview Cemetery in Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana.

She had a few siblings:
Emma Jane Dellinger (1866-1934) - buried in Fairview Cemetery, Knox County, Indiana
Edgar Dellinger (1867-1952) - buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Knox County, Indiana
Mamie S. Dellinger Grabbe (1874-1961) - buried in Fairview Cemetery, Knox County, Indiana

We now stop at the grave of John Smith.
Born: 1802
Died: May 25, 1852

I am unsure of his family connections.  There are a few other Smiths buried nearby, but with the name John Smith, it is hard to find any concrete evidence pointing to any other family.

A note at the bottom of his headstone states "The death was caused by a fall from a horse which dislocated his neck."

Here we have a closeup of the headstone for Letitia M.F. Pea.
Born: August 15, 1851
Died: May 8, 1864

She was the daughter of William Harrison Pea (1816-1886) and Minerva R. Rodarmel Pea (1820-1889).   Both are buried nearby in Lower Indiana Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

She had several siblings:
Mary S. Pea (1842-1858) - buried in Lower Indiana Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Knox County, Indiana.
John B.H. Pea (1843-1843) - buried in Lower Indiana Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Knox County, Indiana.
Phila B. Pea Cannon (1854-1934) - buried in Fairview Cemetery, Knox County, Indiana.
Edward R. Pea (1856-1928) - buried in Fairview Cemetery, Knox County, Indiana.

Our final stop is at the grave of Ida M. Gillmore.
Born: April 2, 1876
Died: 1876

She was the infant daughter of John T. Gillmore (?-?) and Angeline Gillmore (?-?).  I have not yet been able to find where they are buried or if she had any siblings.
