He served in the Civil War, though I am not sure what Regiment or Company. There is a G.A.R. badge in front of his grave.

This is the grave of Thomas Hatchett.
Born: 1760
Died: February 12, 1862
He was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. From the information that I have found, it would appear that Thomas was a wagon driver in the War and became good friends with George Washington. After the war, he moved to Bartholomew County, Indiana, where he purchased land and developed that into a large farm where he raised his family.
He was married to Betsy Cox Hatchett (?-?). I am unsure as to where she was buried.
They had seven children:

He was the son of Thomas McQueen (1761-1838) and Sarah Wilson Vaughn McQueen (1768-1838). They are both buried in Liberty Cemetery in Clifford, Bartholomew County, Indiana. Thomas served in the Revolutionary War.

He was the son of Gilman Sturgeon (1862-1948) and Minerva Sturgeon (1867-1932). Both are buried in Duncan-Schooner Cemetery in Nashville, Brown County, Indiana.
He had several siblings:
Lora Marion Sturgeon (1887-1986) - he died in Flat Rock, Indiana, but his burial location is unknown.
Ralph W. Sturgeon (1893-1968) - buried in Duncan-Schooner Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
Zona L. Sturgeon Ault (1897-1976) - buried in Duncan-Schooner Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
Letha Anne Sturgeon Robertson (1898-1950) - she died in Phoenix, Arizona and is listed as having had a non-cemetery burial.
Ella Margaret Sturgeon Watson (1901-1980) - buried in Duncan-Schooner Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
Harley James Sturgeon (1903-1970) - buried in Duncan-Schooner Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
He served in the Army in the 7th Infantry, Company G. He enlisted on March 19, 1915 and was sent to Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. From there he was sent to the Mexican Border and set off for overseas on October 31, 1917. He was assigned to the 18th Infantry, 1st Division, Company M. He participated in several battles including the Battles of Cantigny, Montdidier, Noyon, Aisne-Marne and St. Mihiel. He died in Langres, France from wounds he received in battle.

According to a family history, James' father was killed a couple of years after the family came to Indiana from Maryland. It is said that he was killed while fighting Indians.
He served in the War of 1812, having enlisted on August 1, 1812 at Georgetown, Gallatin County, Kentucky, He was a Private in the 17th Regiment under Captain James Meade. He fought in the Battle of River Raisin and was wounded in the shoulder. Unfortunately, during this battle Captain Meade was killed and he was transferred to Captain Holt's Company. After the siege at Fort Meigs, he was honorably discharged on November 8, 1813 in Detroit, Michigan.
He was married to Rachel Watts Wise (1794-1889) on December 25, 1814. She is buried in Duncan-Schooner Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
They had eleven children:
Williamson Wise (?-1847) - unknown (he died on Yellow Fever in New Orleans, Louisiana just after his discharge from service in the Mexican War)

He was married to Mary Woods (1778-1851). She is buried in Duncan-Schooner Cemetery near him.
They had at least one child:
Jackson Woods (1822-1864) - buried in Andersonville National Cemetery, Macon County, Georgia. (he is listed as having been a Lieutenant in the Civil War in the 82nd Infantry, Company H. He was captured at the battle of Chickamauga, Georgia and died in Macon Prison.)
