Chitwood Cemetery

Today's Walk Through the Tombstones is at Chitwood Cemetery in Unionville, Indiana.

I don't have any GPS Coordinates for this particular cemetery.  It is located on State Road 45 just outside of Unionville in what used to be a lovely corn field.  The land has been cleared and it looks as if some construction had been started.  No one was there the day that we stopped by so I am not sure if it is considered to be on private property or not.  There are no signs to indicate as such.  I am not sure how large this cemetery was to begin with as there are only a few headstones and some base stones.

Here we have the grave of Sarah Neal.

Born: unknown
Died: August 4, 1858

She was the wife of William N. Neal (?-?).  I am unsure as to where he is buried.

Our last stop is at the grave of James D.  His last name can't be read as the headstone is broken right in that area.

Born: unknown

The stone is badly damaged and broken right across the last name and the death date.

I am a direct descendant of John Goodmon and Nancy Sears Goodmon. Their son, not listed here, was William Goodmon (1834-1905). His son, Jacob Arthur(1869-1955), was my great-grandfather. His son, Marvin (1910-1994) was my grandfather.
