Today's Walk Through the Tombstones is at the tiny little Marr Cemetery in Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana.
GPS Coordinates: 39.2591340, -85.9410370
This tiny little cemetery, established in 1832, is located in the parking lot of the New Hope Christian Church and less than a hundred yards from the New Hope Cemetery. It was rather a surprise to stumble upon it as we were headed toward the New Hope Cemetery and noticed it when we parked.
There are four headstones located within the iron fence with a base stone for one more. These are the ancestors of the owners of the Marr House and farm located in Bartholomew County. In fact, this cemetery, and subsequently the church and larger cemetery a few yards away are located on what was the southeastern corner of the Marr farm.
