Harmony Cemetery

Today's Walk Through the Tombstones is at Harmony Cemetery in Monroe County, Indiana.   It is located just off of W. Ison Road up a long gravel drive.

This cemetery is owned by the Harmony Cemetery Association and appears to be a current cemetery.  There are some older stones from about the 1830's, so it is possible that the cemetery was established somewhere around that time, but I have not yet been able to find an official date.  We visited this cemetery on June 8, 2015 as part of our cemetery week and noticed that many of the stones are in disrepair.

These final graves are all either too worn or just too hard to read.  The one on the top left is very beautifully carved, but I can not make out the writing.  The one on the top right and on the bottom right are worn and hard to read.  The one of the bottom left has only initials.  And finally, the one on the very bottom appears to be that of children.
