Today's Walk Through the Tombstones is at Ashbaugh Cemetery in Stinesville, Indiana. This cemetery is located up on a rise just behind the Stinesville Elementary School.
Born: May 14, 1843
Died: January 12, 1862
He was the son of John Leason Ashbaugh (1806-1873) and Nancy Hayes Ashbaugh (1811-1882). Both are buried in the Ashbaugh Cemetery.
He had two sisters:
Louisa Jane Ashbaugh Williams (1840-1911) - buried in Ashbaugh Cemetery, Monroe County, Indiana.
Cassandra K. Ashbaugh Smith (1846-1881) - buried in Ashbaugh Cemetery, Monroe County, Indiana.
He served as a Private in the Civil War in the 38th Regiment Indiana Infantry, Company G.
The inscription on his gravestone reads, "He sacrificed his life, a soldier in his country's service for the Constitution as it is and government as it was."

This is the grave of Nancy Hays Ashbaugh.
Born: October 16, 1811, Kentucky

She was the wife of John Leason Ashbaugh (1806-1873) who is also buried at Ashbaugh Cemetery.
She had two children:
Louisa Jane Ashbaugh Williams (1840-1911) - buried in Ashbaugh Cemetery, Monroe County, Indiana.
Cassandra K. Ashbaugh Smith (1846-1881) - buried in Ashbaugh Cemetery, Monroe County, Indiana.

Born: February 20, 1815
Died: November 28, 1868
I have no information on him or why he was buried in the Ashbaugh Cemetery.

Here we have the grave of Martha Pugh.

Died: October 21, 1864
She was the wife of G. W. Pugh (?-?). I am not sure where he is buried or why she is buried in the Ashbaugh Cemetery.

She was the daughter of John Leason Ashbaugh (1806-1873) and Nancy Hayes Ashbaugh (1811-1882). Both are buried in the Ashbaugh Cemetery.
