Knightridge Cemetery

Today's Walk Through the Tombstone is at Knightridge Cemetery in Monroe County, Indiana. It is located off of Old Indiana 446, near the Knightridge Pentecostal Church.

We stopped by this cemetery on February 8, 2015.  There was a veteran burial going on across the road at the Salt Creek Cemetery that day.  There used to be an elementary school on that site in the 1840's, but was closed several years ago.  The Knightridge Cemetery was established in 1888 and has over 1,400 interments.  There are several graves of veterans here, including the Civil War, Spanish American War and Mexican War, as well as more modern veteran graves.

She married Silas G. Chandler (1889-1971) on August 4, 1913.  He is also buried at Knightridge Cemetery.
