New South Park Cemetery

Today's Walk Through the Tombstones is at New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville, Indiana.  It is also known as Green Lawn Cemetery and South Park Cemetery.

This is the largest cemetery in Martinsville with just under 7,100 interments.  There are actually three separate cemeteries in this same location.  I have seen listings showing that this is the oldest cemetery in Martinsville, but I didn't find too many old graves here.  There is a large mausoleum near one of the entrances, but it was locked the day that we got there.

His wife, I believe, is nearby, Julia A. Eslinger.

Thank you, Teresa. It's a passion project for me. The idea of our history being lost is terrible. I hope that you keep visiting and enjoying. Have a nice day!
