Today's Walk Through the Tombstones is at Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Spearsville, Brown County, Indiana. It is also known as Pilgrim Holiness Church Cemetery.
Our first stop is at the grave of Deborah Bettner.

She was married to William T. Burris (1830-1900). He is buried near her in Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.

Born: March 4, 1833, Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware
Died: October 30, 1902, Brown County, Indiana
She was married to Peter H. Dine (1833-1906). He is buried in Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery near her. He also served in the Civil War in the 83rd Indiana Infantry, Company D.
They had several children:

Francina Dine Abbett (1860-1931) - buried in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
Mary Ann Dine Walker (1866-1922) - buried in Nineveh Christian Church Cemetery, Johnson County, Indiana.
Joseph Dine (1873-1962) - buried in Church of Christ Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.

Here we have the grave of Peter H. "Hurricane Pete" Dine.
Born: April 15, 1833, Indiana
Died: April 24, 1906, Brown County, Indiana
He was the son of Cornelius Dine (1802-1883) and Rebecca Tietsort Dine (1807-1887). They are buried in Handy Cemetery in Spearsville in Brown County, Indiana.
He had several siblings:
Rachel Dine Hardy (1824-1898) - buried in Handy Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
Samuel Dine (1831-1901) - buried in Church of Christ Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
Elizabeth Dine Bryant (?-?) - unknown
Margaret Ann Dine Fraker (1838-1912) - buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Johnson County, Indiana.
Mary Ellen Dine Sparks (1849-1927) - buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Johnson County, Indiana.
He was married to Mary Jane Fraker Dine (1833-1902). She is buried with him in Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery in Brown County, Indiana. I believe that her name is on the other side.
They had several children:

He was married to Lydia H. Griggs (1830-1896). Her name is shown under his on the monument at Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
It doesn't look like his death date was ever carved into the headstone.

William E. Hurd (1876-1879) - buried in Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Brown County, Indiana.
He served in the Civil War in the 145th Indiana Infantry, Company K. He mustered into service on February 7, 1865 and out on January 21, 1866.

This is the grave of Joshua Metheney.
Born: December 31, 1828, Belmont County, Ohio
Died: August 9, 1899, Indiana
He was the son of Ephraim Metheney (1803-1877) and Elizabeth Hulda Hendry Metheney (1809-1874). They are buried next to each other in Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Mount Zion, Noble County, Ohio.
He had several siblings:
Eliza Jane Metheney Dudley (1846-1925) - buried in Hoskinsville Cemetery, Noble County, Ohio
Hiram D. Metheney (1847-1867) - buried in Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Noble County, Ohio.
Rachel D. Metheney Piper (1849-1924) - buried in Halls Summit Cemetery, Coffey County, Kansas.
Emmor C. Metheney (1851-1928) - buried in Leoti Cemetery, Witchita County, Kansas.
He was married to Olive Metheney (?-?). She is buried in Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery near him.

My Grandparents. William E. and Rilda Tryon are buried in that cemetery, alongside my Aunt Pearl Elliot (and husband Albert). I learned just today that Solomon Wyatt left money in his will to Unity Baptist Church which was used to remodel the old church in 1889.
