Unity Baptist Church Cemetery

Today's Walk Through the Tombstones is at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Beanblossom, Brown County, Indiana.

This is a nice cemetery situated just behind the Unity Baptist Church on Unity Church Road and Spearsville Road in Beanblossom, Indiana.  It is also known as Unity Church Cemetery and has just under 500 interments.  The older section of the cemetery is located just behind the building and has some very nice headstones.  The stone marker for the cemetery states that it was established in 1808, which would make it one of the oldest that we have visited.

This is the Church I attended with my family when I was growing up. I have spent many, many hours there and I still visit frequently. I knew many of the people that are buried there including several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and my Parents. Some of my old school friends are buried thee too.
William and Eliza Murphy donated the land on which the old Church and cemetery are located.
